About
Jamea Tus Salehat

All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the worlds and peace and blessings of Allah be upon the final prophet his family and all his companions

The first revelation of Our’an began with the Devine message ‘Read’. Acquiring knowledge (Ilm) has been made obligatory for men and women alike. Hence Muslim Ummah responded positively to it. It devised, designed, and implemented a distinct and dedicated system of education for the Ummah, Alhamdolillah. But all efforts were limited to educate the boys.

In the year 1956 the concerned members of Muslim Ummah laid the foundation of a girl’s school in Rampur U.P. and it was named as “Bachchiyon ka Madrasah” (Madrasa of Little Girls). Late Maulana Abdul Hai was appointed its first principal.

On 17th of September 1972 a conference chaired by Shaikh Abullais Islahi Nadwi was held in in Rampur. And it was decided to transform this small school into a premier Islamic institution. In November 1972 the course offering Graduation in Islamic Shariah was formally launched. And it was named Jamia tus Salehat and became famous internationally with this name.

After the death of Janab Abdul Hai in 1987, Janab Tawassul Hussain Siddiqui was elected as the president of the Institution.

He rendered his services to the institution until his death in 1993 with sincerity, dedication, and loyalty. After his death Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Islahi, a prominent writer and speaker and a scholar of high repute was elected as the president and administrative head of the institution. Due to his sincere intention, continuous efforts and selfless services, Jamea has achieved new heights of success. Today Jamea has a special identity and acquires international fame. From every corner of the country, female students get admission in the Jamea, and after graduating in Islamic Shariah or having specialization in any of the Islamic disciplines, they do the job of teaching preaching and reforming the Muslim girls and women in their concerned localities.

After the demise of Maulana Mohammad Yusuf Islahi, Dr Salman Asad (an Islamic Scholar and Technocrat) is elected as the president of Jamea.
